I am in the same boat as you- just start when you can as soon as possible. Read the books you are going to study and the poetry anthology for english if you are on AQA specifically or even any exam board. Write notes and search online for context.

With maths your lessons should help massively with learning new content along with homework. Try things like corbett maths and specimen papers. Past papers and practice papers are always good. Maybe try and make flashcards for quotes and information or even make a quiz for yourself or for your friends.

Sparknotes is a great place for analysing texts. It has key quotes. Summaries for each chapter or section. Common themes and analysis of it. Overviews of plots and characters themselves.

I started 2 weeks before my exams started.

I didn't see the point of revising stuff months before the exams start since I'd probably forget lol.

I just did 1 exam paper every week for each of my subjects from probably the start on February? That's pretty much what got me the grades I got.

The earlier you start, the more you will thank yourself from the future!

Well i got my mocks in December that i started revising for two weeks ago so instead of having that go to waste I'm just going to revise a few pages of a subject a day. I'd recommend starting at least 2 months prior.

3-4 months before exams I recommend revision with notes, mindmaps or more specifically topic wise
But 2 weeks-1 month before, I recommend past papers within exam conditions

Sparknotes will not get you your A/A* though- not in depth.

I tried to "revise" the day before each exam or on the day!

Yes, there is more competition but it can't be TOO much harder than 2016!

You might as well start revising now, then again you might be a quick learner.

out of all my GCSE's engish was the only subject I never revised for, I think it's because I kept using too many "posh" words in the exam which is why I passed, but I used to revise like a night before, I passed still but I could've done better so start revising asap!
