Hi! I'm doing Law for A-levels in my college. The subject they offer is kind of limited so there's no unussual subjects so I ended up with accounting and english literature. Wish I could take up Spanish or French. Any idea how to?

I'm doing Classical Greek, which only 200 people or so do each year

i went to a huge 6th form, so we catered for quite a range i think.. media studies, communication studies, business studies, performance studies, theatre studies, law, environmental science, classics.. makes my 3 sciences, english lit. & history look positively boring!

The only 'unusual' one at our school is Environmental Science, which isn't really. I don't do wierd subjects, but for some reason the combination of Biololgy, Chemistry, Maths and French is apparently so unusual that the timetable didn't cater for it, and I've got to miss loads of lessons...Doesn't anybody do sciences with a language?!
I doubt their is anything too unusual.

Music Technology was the most unusual we had. Was hardly any choice at my 6th form.
I know someone who did the A-Level in Archaeology
someone did an A-level in transport studies ...

at my college you can do archeology, classics (actually pretty popular), geology, critical thinking, european studies, electronics, music tech (different to normal music), photography, fine art... actualy pretty much every subject going. i know people who do strange languages as well, but these are normally because it's their native language.

I don't think it's that unusual - but they've introduced a new AS Level at our sixth form: History and Philosophy of Science.
Joanna... I'm doing French, Spanish, History, Maths and Physics next year... don't know anyone else doing that combination but haven't been told yet that it can't be timetabled!

Nice combo though.
People think I'm mad for doing it... most people are only doing 4 and I'm doing 5 "hard" subjects, and I'm not that good at all of them... doing them coz I like them rather than coz I'm good at them. Hope I will cope!

I always wanted to do Dance A level...

There's hardly any choice at our 6th form... No unusual subjects, no languages; just the basic package of: English, Sciences, Technology, Drama and Music.

You can't even do a combination of Chemistry with ICT or Technology
