Attachment 600214600216Attachment 600214Attachment 600214600216Pelite A undergoes prograde metamorphism along the 30degCkm-1 geotherm. burial is very slow over the temperature interval between 550-600degC. Give the likely metamorphic mineral assemblages and reactions that might result from this metamorphism.
What is the answer to this question please??
Also the second question is - pelite type b is subjected to contact metamorphism by large body of gabbro. The contact metamorphic aureole is about 500m wide, the max temp reached is 575deg c a few m from intrusion. The contact zoned that is now observed, has been exhumed from a depth of about 5km. Give the likely metamorphic mineral assemblages that might result from this metamorphism with increasing distance from the gabbro contact.
