For History, a good starting place can be to make some timelines of the periods you are studying, simply to ensure that you understand the chronology and have an idea of the specific dates. From there, it really depends on how you prefer to learn things. For me, the most helpful thing was to make mind maps of the different areas of the subject, so I did one of these for pretty much every part of the course. Flash cards can also be helpful for dates (if you're lazy like me then Quizlet is a great app where people have shared their past study resources and you can use them in either games or as flash cards).

For Religious Studies, it can depend on which exam board you're taking. I'm doing AQA, and so for the Ethics part you have to learn a load of scriptural quotes. I think the best way is just rote learning, however boring it may be. If you just need to learn arguments and concepts, a good way to ensure you truly understand them is to discuss them with someone. If there's no one around then, again, I'd recommend mind maps.

Hope this helps!

As above, mindmaps and flashcards really help! But for the most part, you need to understand the cause in detail (e.g. what happened, when did it happen, why did it happen?). Asking your teacher for some aid on what to revise would probably help you out a lot

As for RS, I like to use flashcards, but it really depends on your style. Just make sure you know all the key content in a way that suits your revision.
