Saddam Hussein is a dictator, he held power till his end.
Gadaffi is a dictator, the only way to remove him from power is to kill him.
Stalin is a dictator, obsessed with power and refuse to relinquish it.
A man who voluntarily hand over power , a noble act, can never fit into definition of dictator.

castro had to resign (and give power to a family member - which basically only a dictator would do) because of his health though, if you're saying "only a dictator stays forever"

Not quite sure if volunteering to give away power is the same as eating Cyanide.

You also seem to ignore a fact, that a dictator may not allow himself to resign, as he may consider it as too dangerous for himself, or for a country.

Blowing off his head with a pistol, to be exact,
Three is a very little.to support such a bold view.

Can't resist to remark that removing these two was a bad decision. Especially in case if Gaddafi. Since he was killed, more people were killed in Libya than during his whole reign. Now even some of his worst enemies consider his regime as golden times.
