scapula ****king retraction

During my chest workouts i retract , however on other body parts i do not .
my aim is to get some mass in my tricep area , therefore implemented some skull crushers or overhead extensions with cables and dumbbells .

When i train the lateral head i feel it tremendously , however I've always had difficulty with the long head especially the skull crusher and overhead extensions .

my form currently is , scapula retracted , elbows close lowering to top of head then extending . however when do this i have a pain in my upper back and overtime i do the exercises i dont feel it in my triceps at all !

Any tips on form or long head activation fitness gurus ??
