    Uhm, well sometimes when we're trying to find the answer to our problems we start thinking too deeply and we forget the simple simple answers ;yes;

The simple answer here is that you did really badly in your test paper and it brought your overall grade down :sadnod:

    haha that's the only explanation.

you can't blame the examining board because they go through several "check" phases... i.e. to see if your exam was marked properly, that you were marked down with the right marks etc.

I don't want to be mean but you were STOOOPID in the exam

And this is a stupid thread to make when the answer is bloody obvious

I've had exactly the same problem with Edexcel Drama!
For 60% of the course - prior to the final exam, like your Graphics - I had 118/120 marks and that equated to grade A*.
That meant that I needed five marks in the final exam to come out with a C.
However, on results day, I found that I'd achieved a B in Drama - and I don't understand how this could have happened?
There was no final written exam for the specification I did, so the last 40% of marks were awarded for a performance - and my teacher had obviously seen us devising our performances beforehand, so she predicted us grades for the last segment of the course, and most of my Drama class were predicted Cs, Bs, As and A*s.
But it turned out that not one single person in my school achieved an A or an A* for Drama - and lots of people, when predicted passes, came out with Ds and Es.
The school's reviewing the situation now - and I think they're going to contact Edexcel to see if any error has been made, as it seems that way... maybe you could appeal your result too, especially if you genuinely feel there has been a definite mistake?
    Good Luck.

There appears to be a few of us disappointed with our Edexcel results; I personally think a serious error has been made somewhere as a lot of people's initial marks/grades and their final marks/grades don't seem to correspond at all.
Oh, well... there's not an awful lot we can do, I suppose... the results may change, the results may stand.
Either way, we've still done well, so we shouldn't beat ourselves up over it.

How did you feel about the exam though? Did the exam go well for you??

If you felt the exam went really well and you are 100% sure you were on track for a much better grade, like A or A*, then you may want to risk a re-mark in case the exam board made some silly error like missing a page or something (I doubt it though), but if you're not too sure, being on borderline B, I wouldn't risk it in case you went down to a C.

Ignore the gradeometer. It's useless. It said I just scraped a maths grade when I didn't.

Find out your UMS mark and the boundaries and speak to your teacher.
