Spiderman Homecoming

7/10

Not as good as Andrew Gearfield ones, (wish they'd have.made a 3rd) . It was darker than this new one, more comedic I likemy superhero films darker but still it was entertaining.

Watched Spider-man: Homecoming as well. Rate it an 8/10 just because I think Tom Holland is THE best spider-man, apart from Toby Maguire. I don't know, Andrew Garfield doesn't strike me as spider-man at all, his acting didn't successfully capture the essence of spider-man: (smart kid, albeit a bit nerdy and socially awkward,) he's very "jockish" looking.
Lost 2 points because I don't know if I like Spider-man's new suit, love interest lead was absolutely boring (not as good as Gwen Stacey or Mary Jane by a mile), wtf was that bully? why was he a geek? (p*nis parker wtf is that name?) Action scenes didn't grip me at all, like the boat scene, could have had potential to be good and gripping and spider-man could have been beat up a few times but it always seemed like he had the upper hand with his 5 million web combinations, and adding to that ultimately iron man comes in to save the day easily... However, loved seeing Young spiderman's personal tribulations on screen though...

I guess you're going by comics? Never read one, but do love the films. Obviously our opinions differ but as I say Andrew was good as was Lizard. Not keen on non mutants as villains they lack. If only Vulture was a mutant, he'd have been great. Then I'm assuming he's not a mutant in the comics.

Infinty War looks good, Spiderman is on it with a new suit. Too comedic like Tobey fillms,

Yes, that's the problem with Marvel films these days. I found that with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 & Thor Ragnarok. Jokes are all well and good, but then they just go over the top with comedy! Where is the solemnity, Marvel?
Yep, really excited for Infinity War - I'll be the first one in the cinema April 27th. Spiderman's suit is growing on me. And yes, I do agree about Andrew Garfield's movie being dark - I actually liked the dark vibe. I wish Marvel would go for a dark, solemn vibe but then again Infinity War might give that to us.

The Square, probably 6/10. A bit long and if you have not seen any other Ruben Ostlund film, you may not get some of the subtleties.

Peter Rabbit 7/10

A gay coming of age movie set in a rugby obsessed Irish boarding school. Definitely going into my favourites and will watch it again.

Come on Rogue one was crap. 5 is generous. The whole franchise has gone down the pan (don't mention the three we don't talk about) and the Solo movie also looks like a right bore. I wish they'd stick to the main story line and flesh it out more instead of feeding us this filler movies because they love making $$$.
