Last week I paid for my friends birthday to a cinema, we went to see The Meg in the cinema in 4D. It was brilliant, Everytime there was a scary bit the chairs kept moving and throwing us around violently and spitting large amounts of water on our heads and in our face. My friend had to kerp taking his 3D glasses off and wiping the water away. It was such a laugh because it was in 4D but also the film was excellent. I was wondering wtf Jason Statham is doing in a shark movie but he was excellent, it wouldn't have been the same without him.
I would recommend everybody watch it in 4D.
We got a good deal on the cinema tickets as it was £18 each and buy 3D glasses seperately for £2 but we brought 2 old glasses from home. But it only ended up costing £25 60 for 2 people because my friend signed up with that Meerkat advert for Compare the market.com and he bought Travel Insurance for £1 So now we can go to the cinema for a whole year on cheap tickets or buy 1 get 1 free but only on Tuesdays or Wednesdays.
He looked for the cheapest insurance because you don't get the deal if you don't but insurance.
Anyway back to the film,
I give The Meg 10/10
And that's with or without watching it in 4D

Interesting to see someone so positive about the 4D Cineworld experience. I from reviews and videos took it to be gimmicky but you may have swayed me a bit. :beard:
Is it the first time or are you a regular?

Just throwing this in there but I went to see Deadpool in 4D back in 2016 and it was even more hilarious with the water getting sprayed in your face whenever there was blood. One of my friends say the recent Jurassic World movie in 4D as well and loved it. I think it really depends on the movie you're seeing but it can definitely add a lot when done well

It was the 2nd time going to 4D cinema. The first time was at Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park where they do fun fairs every December so my friend and I loved it so much watching 4D films there that we always wanted to experience it in a proper cinema. I think it was only last year Cineworld introduced it but they did have Imax cinema before which is a massive screen in 3D but without the 4D experience. How did you know it was Cineworld? I didn't mention it.
Another I discovered for the first time when I went to see The Meg is that Cineworld Cinema are now selling alcohol too. I was so shocked. Now people can get pissed while watching films too, lol

The Inbetweeners 2 on E4 the other night. Forgot how funny it was.

King of Comedy 8/10-
Reminded me of a more sympathetic, marginally less cringey Taxi Driver. De Niro is brilliant and I loved the ambiguous ending.

It was such a great film it managed to retell a daunting and sorrowful event all the while making quips and comical comments throughout it. Not only did it do that but it also draws comparisons between the growing hatred and discrimination from the 60/70's and even now...

Definitely recommend it.

I saw it today and also give it 10/10. I am tempted to show it to every alt-right/Trump supporter just to see their reaction.

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid 7/10

A very fun western with great chemistry between the leads, Robert Redford and Paul Newman. The plot in the second half does feel a little flat, but the acting and script keep the film interesting.
