Godzilla: King Of The Monsters (9/10)

Enjoyed it a lot more than I expected to. Monster fights are unbelievable and the creatures themselves beautifully realised in flawless CGI. The human characters carry the story nicely even though the dialogue is sometimes a bit cheesy and only a little bit of background written in. But if you want to see a spectacular sequel that goes above and beyond the first instalment (which was also excellent), then I recommend this. One of the best monster movies in recent years. Stay after the credits too.

Jellyfish - Slightly different to my usual but really enjoyed it. Pulls on your heart but equally got some comedy.

Would highly recommend

The Miseducation of Cameron Post - Fairly as per trailer. 6 maybe 7/10.
Not sure about the last 10-15 minutes. Didn't feel satisfying enough.

Order of the Phoenix - 9/10

None of the HP movies can get more than 9 because of their deviation from the books.

Keanu- 6/10. Average, but did generate some laughs. A guest appearance by Keanu Reeves was most welcome.

Men In Black: International - 4/10

A big disappointment. Very slow, feels like a drag, very mundane stunts and action sequences and very low stakes. After Dark Phoenix bombed I hoped we would see the last of disappointing sequels this summer. But this one happened too. Hemsworth and Thompson obviously cast together in the lead roles after their great chemistry and comic timing in Thor Ragnarok, but there’s none of that here. Occasionally a few laughs here and there but most of the best lines belong to Pawny (voiced by Kumail Nanjiani). I wish they had made an effort to get TLJ and Will Smith back for this one or just let the franchise die a natural death.
