Meeeeeeeeee and I'm a 3rd year [feeling v v v old at the mo, boo]. One of my friends was in PJM in his first year though and ALL his housemates were freshers, I doubt you'll be alone.
HOWEVER...no-one's house will be as good as mine and djmilesno1's

Yeah, you're an old man
I've heard that in PJM you don't tend to get a mix of years in the houses [i.e, freshers go with other freshers and third years who aren't in association with anyone go with other third years], and also that most third years tend to be put in the quiter parts of the village, ie, high up towards the back.
I hope I get nice housemates too... Why did everyone leave me out of their housemate-choosing?!
We assumed you'd be with matt and them...and then we diddddd have potential others in the form of scary earth sci nathan and co hehe [we sit with him in leccys sometimes, long hair, legend] and now it's me and my two boys...and newbies =o
Yeah, I assumed I would be with them lot too, but it wasn't to be [to be honest I think everyone except one of them were fine with it, but it was that one person who wasn't, I'm not naming names though...]
hmmm welll. Ben doesn't like u chris lol he said ud poo in the shower so cudnt live with us lol only kidding!! I think we had already decided it was Flat 5 guys and Ben reallly.
Can anyone tell me what the rooms are like in PJM? Whats in them, how big are they? And what are the houses like? What do we need for kitchen/ bathroom? Pictures would be cool to

Rooms sizes vary from titchy to half a house! [if you're in a 5 person house and you get the big room]. they have all you need, bed, desk, wardrobe, bedside cabinet, bookshelves, bin, but, unlike other Aber halls, no washbasin. They also don't have mirrors either, whcih is a pain at times. You will ALL posts and pans etc for the kitchen [although someone in yoiur house is bound to have sopmething you can borrow if need ebe], and you'll need toiletries, and towels and things for the bathroom too.

This is what I'll be taking: Pots and pans Coulander [DON'T take a plastic one...they're lethal ] and sieve [for rice mainly] Utensils including wooden spoons, potato masher etc...knives, forks, spoons Can opener Corkscrew [VERY important to have more than one per house...they get lost frequently] and bottle opener plates, bowls, glasses, cups [these WILL break...] Teatowel [claim your cupboard by putting it through the handle on the door *nods*
They will provide fridge/freezer, table and chairs, toaster, kettle, cupboard [obviously], microwave etc...If I'm honest I'd say that if youhave anything valuable or sentimental etc don't leave it in the kitchen...My housemates both years have been a bit useless and people aren't always honest about breakages etc...though saying that I'm sure this year I'll break someones brighton&hove albion bowl...hmm. Microwavable things...bowls etc Cleaning things [best to buy them IN aber though]
Bathroom: Toiletries Mirror for your room...but they don't like you hanging things up etc...you might not want one for your room but if you do, bring a stand up one or something. Cleaning things [best to buy them IN aber though] Shower matt if you are that way inclined
Other than that just common sense really...oh and don't forget hangers for your room
