Maths Question Help Needed

I am doing a course which is made up of 30% coursework and 70% on the exam and i need 50% to pass the course.

On my coursework i have got 86% so does that mean i have 25% of the 30% available.

What % of the exam would i need to get my 50% pass, maths is not my strong point

Hi there.

30% x 865 = 25.8%

So you have already got 25.8% and need another 24.2%, because 50% - 25.8% = 24.2%

70% x X% = 24.2%

24.2%/70% = 34.57142857%

So in the exam you need to get 34.57%
