For christs' sake, cheer up.

Sounds to me like you're just lacking in confidence and hence you're not coming across to people as you'd perhaps like to? What's happened by the way?

Ever feel like your lifeforce is just weak?
I just feel so lacking in vigour and presence sometimes, I don't knowe if it's accurate, maybe I come through to people more than I reckon, or maybe I am right and I'm dull and insignifcant, how do I tell?

You're probably lacking in presence because you spend your time at parties having conversations with yourself using words like "lifeforce" (which, if overheard, would be enough to send any other party-goer rapidly in the opposite direction).

I felt my lifeforce was weak. Then I stopped playing Zelda on my SNES and left the room

cognitive therapy. think negatively and negative things will happen to you, but think positively and positive things will happen to you.

now go practice this.

A large medikit or a small medikit? You should save the large ones for the boss fights..

Well wrong word. Libido then, whatever the word that Freud used was.

As long as you have a few good friends around you, who cares? No one ever notices me or that's the way I feel a lot of the times anyway, but I have more good friends than I could ever ask for and these are people I wanna keep for life. All in all, sure people may not notice me, but those who do really count  So I reckon I've got a good deal there!

Cheer up. If you act happy, more people wanna get to know you.

Acutally I think Freud used it to also mean energy and personal vigour more generally,

but since all the ***** on this thread got all anal about me saying lifeforce when I was trying to convey a point.....

Freud's a load of crap anyway. like i said 'cognitive therapy' no psychoanalysis bull****

Reply 16

If you trust in Freud one must console with the idea that you wanted to have sex with your mother as a kid.

Good luck with that.

I always feel unnoticed by society, but also by those close to me. I'm sure it's quite common.

Reply 18

Kerri, people do notice you... you just don't realise it.

To OP - sorry you're feeling down.

*Hugs* to all!

My point's not about the word, but about your attitude.

Instead of worrying about your lack of presence, have a look at how people act who do have presence. Then try to do that.

No one here will tell you how to gain in presence or charisma. And there's no magic potion to help you (unless you count cocaine... and that can become a bit 'moreish').

It's about how you feel about yourself and as long as you're telling yourself how meek and insignificant you are that's how it'll remain.
