Studying an English Language degree without English Language A levels?

An access course is very much not 'condensed A levels'. It is an entirely different type of course.

I recommend you contact some universities you're interested in to see what they think about your qualifications and preparedness to study English - they should be able to better advise what, if any, remedial work is necessary.

That's what my tutors have been telling me, but I haven't studied traditional A levels so it's difficult for me to know. Thanks for your input. My intended universities glanced at my modules and subjects and believe that they provide sufficient preparation, but it's my own ability in the subject that leaves me feeling unprepared.
