Back in 2006 when the game came out Rockstar Games changed the name to "Canis Canem Edit" in the UK and now 10 years later they release the game on iOS and Android titled, you guessed it... "BULLY"

https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...targames.bully

The name was believed to have been changed due to scrutiny from anti-bullying groups and now they are back at square one! Wonder if it will be kept as Bully or re-branded again in the UK.

Thats dumb. Its a game about being a bully. Both names are fine. People need something to do with their time other than constantly being righteously indignant.

But Jimmy wasn't even a bully? I mean, canon wise, he bullied the bullies.

Exactly. It doesnt really matter what it's called, it's about either bullying or the concept of canis canem edit. Probably both.

It's just so annoying how artistic license is being reined in by over-sensitivity. Especially towards video games. The most screwed up stuff I've seen has been in a movie, not a video game.

It seems like people just actively try to be offended. Like people get worked up over the most mundane **** nowadays...

I'm pretty sure when they released the Scholarship Edition for Xbox 360 + Wii (a year or two after Canis Canem Edit), they changed it back to Bully as well... so nothings changed tbh.

To address the whole name-change thing, I think it was a bit ridiculous but whatever.

It was changed back to Bully years ago, because the 'video game creates murderers' fad is long gone and Islam and foreigners in general are the scapegoats and boogiemen for the next few years. Then it'll be baguettes or something.

The game's been called bully for years you absolute mongoose. Got re-branded when the scholarship edition for xbox 360 (and I presume ps3) came out, added the extra classes and missions and such like.

Haha I love it. Although that's sort of true with "anti-gluten" people insisting that gluten contributes to aggression and irritability!

What a world we live in!!

...Sorry... What a ridiculous world we live in!!
