Attending summer program at LSE?

Hi, I'm from a U.S. college, and I'm thinking about applying for LSE's graduate program. Would it make a difference that I take some summer courses at LSE? I thought maybe it could suggest that I'm fine with LSE's schooling style and expectations, but if it does not help much then I won't spend the money to do it.
