I am very frustrated. I took an IELTS exam (English exam) quite a while ago (as an equivalent to GCSE English) to get into university. I've had all my A-Levels done (got triple A's to go to LSE, which was my conditional offer). Unfortunately my IELTS results will not be ready before 31st of August (which is deadline stated by the university) although it should have but due to some problem with my identification it got postponed by mistake by IELTS. and guess what the LSE admission has sent me an email that the 31st August deadline is absolute and they won't accept the IELTS results after that date, supposedly meaning that I won't be able to join the uni and will have to wait 1 whole year because of a mistake IELTS has made! I mean I'm absolutely shocked. My English is very good, at least that is what I think, and I'm almost sure that I will get the required grade. This is very frustrating and I cannot accept this. What do you think I should do? I simply don't want to wait 1 whole year because of an English qualification after getting 3 A's in my A-Levels.
I'm very frustrated and I'm having nightmares. What should I do

I'm not sure what you can do - You can continue to negiotiate with the uni, but they have to draw a line somewhere. Do you have another uni you could go to/want to go to should you fail to get a place? Double check with IELTS to see if its possible to get the result earlier.

Oh my God, how annoying! Definitely phone the IELTS people to see if there's any way you can get the results earlier, explaining that you have a uni place depending on it. If not, I guess you could try asking LSE if there's any other way for you to prove your level of English, such as their own admissions test. Do you have an insurance who don't want the IELTS, or who will accept you after the deadline if you get the grade? Otherwise you'll have no choice but to reapply On the bright side, at least you'll be in a very strong position with AAA and any offers you get will be unconditional. Congrats on your results.
