I'm currently writing my teaching personal statement and to say im struggling is an understatment. I carried out all my work experience in both a Hospital and a nursing home but took specific interest in paediatrics. At that time I wanted to be a nurse but i've realised how much I'd love to be a teacher. However, im unsure how to make my work experience sound relevant to teaching? Ive always had a passion for Religious studies and am currently sitting on an A, its something I find interesting yet controversial and I think thats why i enjoy it, but im not sure what to include in my personal statement! Like is there certain things I should definetly say or include? Im just unsure how to make things relevant. My life outside of school is youth orintated, I am a youth mentor in youth club, help with coaching underage teams, referee soccer matches and so on but I'm not sure if this is enough to write down?

Talk about how bc you work with lots of people you're exposed to people of different faiths and beliefs which sparks an interest in you to learn more about the diversity around you.

You could look at the course units and if there is a common theme amongst all courses try and relate stuff you've done to what they may teach.

Most of all get your passion across.
