My friend is currently very stressed to the point that they are considering suicide because of their workload at school. They have asked their guidance teacher if they can drop an AS-level (bearing in mind they do 2 A-levels, 2 AS-levels and has more than 5 extracurricular activities at lunch during the week as well as a part-time job) but they have been told that unless they have extenuating circumstances, it's not possible and they just have to manage all the deadlines despite being sent to their guidance teacher for not doing homework on time. Does a major mental health crisis constitute extenuating circumstances? You know, considering it's a life or death situation.
