aside from the accomodation and course fees what else do you normally end up paying for on your first day? i heard that that there is a gym fee etc and was wondering roughly how much that was and if there is anything else that most people normally get.
    cheers

I think you have to pay your damage deposit at Broadgate when you confirm your place...so it won't be in the first week but obviously it's something you have to pay for. It was around £200/£250 this year. I don't know if you have to pay halls deposists in advance...? Or why they seem to be so much cheaper :s I know you don't have as many things in your room as we did in a flat, but still, seems a bit much!

a few years ago you paid your halls deposit on arrival - it was about £70 for your room and £30 key deposit (I think). May have changed as 4 years ago now.
