Now that we live in the post Trump world, the MSM is admitting the rampant and obvious liberal left bias suffered by universities. Students have been reared in liberal left non-offensive feel good echo chamber where certain ideas are held as taboo and discouraged. I would argue that the reality of this goes even further than this but this will do for now.

It's because none of you right wing cucks are brave enough to express your views so you just stay silent and cry on the internet. Why dont you grow up and start your own societies without fearing rejection from liberal peers.

All the conservatives like to call liberals pussys and cucks on the internet but in reality theyre scared of liberals.

You're right. When in my Advanced Financial Reporting lectures, there was a lot of left leaning bias to how we were taught to make statement of financial positions! I went in hoping to learn the financial accounting standards and came out dressed in Che Guevara t shirts!

No one is in denial about liberalism in universities.

Student-led movements played key roles in the Risorgimento in Italy, the unification of Germany and the revolutions in France. Young people lead the way - why is anyone surprised by this now.

Seriously.... yes in America campuses are now very divided between the liberals and conservatives. Personally I am not afraid to express my self in any group... I revel in notoriety and in being controversial. But I can see why so many people have become frightened by militant leftism / liberalism because it uses fear like shunning people, expelling / firing them. You are right, people are pu***es.

You think you had it bad?

I did aeronautical engineering: every plane I designed was only allowed a left wing. It was a nightmare.

It's your fault for being scared then.

Frankly i dont see any problem here. The "bias" here is simply the fact that the younger generation is more left leaning, which seems pretty natural given that we dont want to repeat the mistakes the conservatives in the past has made. We are progressive and tolerant, if thats an issue then you are welcome to move to north korea.

It's unclear whether they're talking about ordinary students or academic staff supposedly being biased to the left. These are quite different groups in different circumstances. The former are a sizable demographic, who, while being more educated than average, are by far from being experts in a field. The latter are a much smaller profession, who have spent their entire careers working on their particular topic and are among the most knowledgeable people in the world about that topic.

That, in the US, there are fewer GOP or "conservative" academics, is not proof of some vast political conspiracy to keep them out, but rather proof that the right in the US is considerably more likely to hold politically prominent views at odds with serious research and evidence. And it's not too difficult to think of examples - Creationism, the US Civil War (and "state's rights"), etc

Don't call it liberalism,

the most basic definition of liberalism is '
Liberalism, political doctrine that takes protecting and enhancing the freedom of the individual to be the central problem of politics.'

This is not how far leftie students behave at all, they are authoritarian and tend to be Corbyn supporters. The regressive left is more socialist / communist than anything. lmao
