    I am about to start Bio and Chem AS Next year (both AQA) and was wondering whether the Collins "module books" can get u an A, i.e if I learn each of the books reallly well will i be able to get an A?
    please answer the Q and include any personal experiences,

    Define "learn" and I'll get back to you. If you memorise it word for word, no. If you learn what it all means and understand how to tackle questions on all of that material, yes.

    They were the only thing I had to refer to during my AS year, where I self-taught chemistry, except - and this is important - an insurmountable stack of past papers. That's what saved me (and got me my A), not the books. They were just a useful reference.

    I agree with the generalebriety, you need to understand not just learn. I'd recommend collins 'exam practice' books as well though, they give practice exam questions plus commin errors and main points to remember. Helped me amazingly in maths last year.
