what a vague question....what are u planning on doing at uni??

maths is a very respectable subject for all careers so i would reccomend that. also if u do want to do economics at uni, they prefer maths rather than doing economics (dont ask why, thts what my teachers have said)

Which might be the reason that Maths is more accepted than Economics?

i thought maths at AS/A-level was like maths at GCSE level- something you would revise and get instantly. looks like i am wrong there.
