OP I sympathise with your situation, as it is really worrying you get to hospital tommorow, to hell with waiting a week. A year ago I really thought I had bowel cancer, it was terrifying. I hate wrongdiagnosis.com, HATE IT!

I wouldnt worry too much, I found a lump in my breast, I used the internet and just ended up working myself into a right state, planning what id do in regards to my education and future etc etc (I was 18) went to the doctors and actually told them it was a lump so was fast tracked to an appointment that afternoon, was then refered to the hospital the next day, had a scan and sample taken and it turnt out to be a harmless lump and turnt out I had several more too (in both breats) just a lumpy bumpy person....know its not exactly the same...

I have every symprtom described on various medical websites.

quick tip - never ever ever tell your GP or any doctor this nothing annoys a doctor more than

"doctor i think i have lupis/cancer/lukemia/meingitis/a zit."
"really? where did you get this idea from."
" i read it on wiki..............."

Op i kn ow its hard but try to calm down, reading about this stuff will only get you going more. Wait till the doctor sees you until you have a break down.

tetrahydrocannabinol.
 You rang NHS Direct when you were stoned?

Funny story... had some cookies, but none of the three of us who baked them had much experience with weed... we put too much in. Two hours later it wasn't doing anything so I went to bed. Woke up at 6 am and certain parts of my body were numb, and I genuinely thought I was dead. Called NHS direct... they told me to go to the hospital straight away. Got a taxi, sat down in the waiting room and thought "you utter moron, you're just stoned" - the doctors agreed.

My Dad has prostate cancer, and he never had any signs at all. They caught it at stage 2, bordering on stage 3 during a checkup. It's probably that your just making yourself feel ill through worry.

Oh mate, I know how you feel; my ex found a lump on his ball in the shower. Freaked him out so bad.

They just do a few tests and things. Turns out it was totally fine though, and actually quite common.

Don't worry until you have your results though, seriously. Obviously easier said than done, but still, not gonna do you any good at all.

Wish you all the best, and let us know how it goes won't you.

Testicle cancer if caught early as far as I know has a quite high survival rate, if you have it. I wouldn't stress out that much, there isn't anything you can do until you get a proper proffesional medical opioion, so why worry and stress yourself over nothing.
Good luck.

Please come back when you actually know some medicine and have some common sense.

Only specialists can tell you if you have cancer. If you do, it doesn't mean you're dying. Hopefully it's just a cyst.

Well basically I'm pretty much certain I have cancer. And I have a GP appointment for 1 week from now. But now I'm starting to feel sick, I can feel it spreading through my body and I'm getting weaker. I think I've had it for about 2-3 months and now it's just getting worse. Is 1 week too long to wait if I'm deteriorating so?

I'm only 17.

Ok, first of all you can't tell if you have cancer or not without a proper examination by a doctor. Not even a trained doctor can give a definite positive without a rather thorough ultrasound test. Also, if it had been at the stage where it has started to spread through the entire body you would probably have noticed a significant change in the size of the testicle. Also, testicular cancer has a fairly high survival rate when discovered early. Just go see the doctors, they are the only ones that can actually tell for sure.

If you're very worried (and it sounds like you are), ask for a quicker appointment with your doctor, I don't want you to have to wait another week of panic. My own experiences with NHS direct haven't been very good, but that's probably worth a try as well.

Whatever you do don't try and diagnose yourself from the internet - the symptoms that you have have all sorts of causes, the chances of it being anything nasty are pretty remote. By all means get yourself tested (and you should of course see a doctor straight away) - but most people who get themselves into a panic on the internet are absolutely healthy.

What a lovely positive outlook you have on the world :p:

Hmm, and on another note - I wouldnt welcome death at all, if death came anywhere near me I run away, quickly.
