Men Only - Stagefright in the Urinals.

Firstly, I thought that the thread title sounded a bit like an 80's power ballad, which I thought was ace. I'm also probably going to regret not posting this as anonymous..

The thing is, I've always had a bit of a problem in public loo's (particularly service stations) with going in the urinals. Whenever I've tried, and anybody's around....I just can't.

Is anybody else the same? Or does anybody have any ways to overcome this? It's all mental, but I'd just quite like to stand at the wall like a man, rather than ducking into a cubicle as if I'm hiding something sinister.

P.S. I also don't have any issues with what I'm packing "down there"...I just get nervous.

i know what you mean. when theres people around it can take me a little longer than usual to "get going" so thats quite embarrisng :p:

you can feel a little uncomfortable yeah, a natural thing i think, just a sort of reflex against peeing near to other people.

Yep, I'm exactly the same. Have a complete mental block when there's another guy stood next to me, for some reason I can't seem to concentrate enough to pee. I just do the same as you and head for the cubicle, and yeah, it's nothing to do with knob size. It still makes my mates laugh though. :smile:

I switch off in these situations. I've always gone to the urinals, although some of my mates always use the cubicles.

How odd (to me). But then again I do deliberately pick the middle urinal sometimes just to force people next to me - you know, to watch them squirm (Not their penis).

I have the same thing. Find it hard to get going when theres others nearby. I normally use the cubicle if it's busy. If not, it just takes me a lot longer to get started, unless I really really have to pee!

I went through a phase like that for a while, using the cubicle and whatnot.

Can't really give you any advice except that it's not weird.

Sometimes I can, most of the time I can't if someone is there. If you can't go, just use a cubicle and think nothing of it. Anyone who is actually paying attention in a bloke's bog has obviously got another agenda, so it's best to lock the door too.

If I really need to go it doesn't matter. If it's semi-urgent i'll use a cubicle if I cant go normally but it's a 50/50 thing...sometimes I go sometimes I dont :redface:

Yeah I had this when I was younger, I have overcome it over the years as I really am not embarassed about anything now really and the attitude works when it comes to using the little man in the urinals :wink:
