Strange friend, does he need help, should I be worried?

Hi TSR.

I have this friend who I played computer games with. We talked a lot and as you speak to someone a lot you ask names. When he found out my real name he began using it obsessively almost, using it as his name online, for internet forums, computer games and everything online. I thought this was strange but nothing more.

At this time I was also applying to university and submitted mine in the October, whilst my friend was at a different university. He then applied to the same university as me and we both got accepted. This I thought was a mere coincidence.

As well as these strange behaviors though, he has:

- Posted my name on youtube as responses in a somewhat racist manner
- Tried to find my home phone number the summer before university
- Contacted my cousin to find information about me and my family
- Has more of my friends on his MSN than I EVER have
- Contacts my friends often being racist
- Got a girl to strip on webcam, and write my full name on her bare thigh??
- Tried stealing pictures from my phone
- Has a complete obsession with any stories ive told, especially involving girls reciting them to me with extreme accuracy
- Often posts false information about me using my full name saying I run clubs etc

Combined with all of this my friend likes to exaggerate stories to mutual acquaintances adding his own little subplots often. These are often based, although not always on ones I may have mentioned.

Sorry for the long post, but I ask you does this behavior seem abnormal to anyone else.

I suppose, copying some clothes or something id understand ( I doubt that would happen however lol) but all this online stuff just is well.....weird.

Another obsession my friend has as well is one of wanting to annoy me. Always trying to anger me, or "IRL Rage" me as he often refers to it as.

I dont really understand whats going on..you say hes your friend..why on earth would you want anything to do with someone who is racist towards you and tries his best to anger you all the time. Why not just have nothing to do with him and tell your friends the same. He sounds like he could be dangerous :s-smilie:

just block + delete him on all accounts. change your email and all accounts he knows (it's agro, but it'll help) and i'm sure uni is a big enough place to ensure that he can't find you. D:

Buh. Just leave him alone. So what if he's using your name? There must be more than one person with your name out there. Don't let him have anything to do with you, block him on everything, refuse to speak to him - he'll get bored.

I actually have dual account on every forum we both view (except TSR ofc ourse :p:

) This is in part to avoid him trolling my replies.

Deleting accounts wouldent be that bad of a problem however he somehow has friends on his MSN who I havent spoken to in years. We also will be in the same halls next year (partly by my doing) and the problems really dont transfer to real life, its more of a online problem. However he does have an obsession with telling lies to people about me even in real life.

Its not like in my first year at uni I woke up with him breaking through my door. Although he does try getting me drunk......

No, not racist towards me, towards other people using my name and to people who know me but are of a different race. It bothers me obviously because my name is being used to insult people based on their race.
