I am writing some coursework on Louis XIV and XV and to what extent they were absolutist monarchs. I am ignoring all foreign policy. I need roughly three main themes with a few sub-themes in each main theme. My only problem is that while i get what i am doing, i am not certain how to organise the themes. I have identified that the image they created was a big part so this must be included, religion and the Protestants are important too as is the overall governing of the country (central admin and at a ocal level), tax collection and finance management and the nobility although the nobles tie into governing hte country too.
a) social, economic and political? But this seems too broad
b) sources of opposition, governing France and social
or any other suggestions welcome!
