Worried about phonecall.

I need to know the answer to this: if a person phones a mobile phone on their landline but they dial 141 so their number can't be seen, would the mobile number show up on the call records of the landline? I ask because this boy that I've got a bit of a thing with called me about three weeks ago to talk dirty, he called my mobile on his landline but he hid his number using 141 but I'm worried his parents might've found out cos when we were done then he said 'oh no I think my mum's still up' and he hasn't contacted me at all since then and he rejected my friend request on facebook last week. Could his mum have found out my number and forbidden him from calling me? It's a really strange coincidence that he stops contacting me just as this happens.

What age are you two?

Anyway, using 141 just prevents the receiver from finding out the number of who called. Doesn't work the same way for the caller when the phone bill comes in.

I think it would still show up on the bill.

Oh no that's so bad! We're both 19 by the way.

Yup. Looks like you been busted matey.

His Mam has forbidden him from calling you and you are both 19?

Incidentally, I think it still shows up on the bill.

of course it will show up on the utillities bill if they have itemized billing, which most landlines do. Why would his mum see your number and stop him having any contact with you at all? She would have most likely just prevented him using the landline to a mobile and racking up a huge bill. Does he have a mobile? If so withhold your number and call him to find out the problem, if he isn't answering to you e wont knw you are calling if you 141 it.

Yea it would still show up on the bill I reckon

God that was so stupid of him! I hope his parents are more cross with him than me, I'm worried about what they might do if they think I'm responsible for the calls (they're all initiated by him).

Oh by the way, his mum doesn't know me at all, that's why I'm worried, she might think I'm a weirdo or something.

Reply 12

Why would she think your weird if he's been ringing you all the time?

The call was really late, at like two in the morning, that's why I think she might think it's dodgy, (which incidentally it was) and if she heard anything, she would definitely know.

Well you havent really got anything to be worried about then have you :s-smilie:

I actually dont understand the point of this thread????

Is he not allowed to make calls or something? The bill isn't going to tell his mom you were talking dirty. Would it be so crazy that he just...called you for a chat?

Edit: just seen the 2am thing, well I'm sure he can blag his way out of it, one of you was upset about something and needed a friend to talk to? I'd be surprised if she automatically assumed it was something dodgy...

maybe it's got nothing to do with his mum? he's had the dirty chat and used you for that so maybe that's all he wanted. no offence.

Yeah, I guess maybe you're right, just as long as I'm not in trouble or anything then I don't mind that much, there's plenty more guys like him. I just thought that maybe I could get done or something for talking dirty.

You're 19 and you're worried about getting in trouble with someone who doesn't even know you for something you said on the phone? :s-smilie:

Surely you can find some bigger fish to fry! No point worrying about nothing, OP
