Have any of you people had an STI test done before?
Apart from the sheer pain (then again I'm a bit of a wimp), I've always found the question pretty explicit and somewhat embarassing. Luckily the questions are often asked by a 50-year old woman that won't make you think about sex for very long.

They're not painful!
I found out that the legendary umbrella test was a big lie.The one mildly painful thing is when they swab, but it's nothing really. A bit uncomfortable, but usually people prefer to deal with someone of their own sex to avoid any embarassment.
Perhaps it's different if you're a girl...?

I'm a guy and the swab part wasn't performed by the woman who asked me the questions. The swab was really painful for me.
I had some questions asked beforehand.

Whats STI test like then?
Got a series of very indiscrete questions: have you ever done this? have you ever done that? You might saw you're heterosexual, they'll stick ask question referring to homosexual activity... I probably couldn't write most of the questions here since a lot of members would be shocked.
Then came a swab test, that was slightly painful.
They aint as bad as everyone makes out to be!
Was totally sh*ttin myself when i went for mine but it hurts for like 3 seconds then it just feels uncomfortable.

The questions are a bit =| The number of questions they ask makes you feel a bit as if they either don't believe you or that they're being overly rigorous because half the questions really are the same.

Well, at least, at the end, the woman told me what a great boyfriend I must be to accept to go through a HIV/STI test, basically because I was at low risk considering the "acts" I'd been involved in.
