When it comes around to holidays, such as Christmas and Easter, will we have to vacate our rooms in the halls of residence?

It depends what is says on your contract. You'd obviously have to pay rent etc.

It says on the residency page of the uni (September to June) and gives a fixed price, so does that mean I can stay throughout that time regardless of holidays.

This is where I'm confused too, the university sites do not say if we are to vacate or not. If anyone can give any advice from past experience, that would be terrific.
