    Whereabouts are you from? I've noticed that in some parts of the world such as the US 'asian' refers to people from the far east (eg China) in Britain it generally refers to the south asian subcontinent (ie Pakistan, India, Bangladesh). Both are correct but I suppose I should refer to myself as south asian if I'm being picky

    lol, thanks for clarifying that. I'm a New Yorker. Asian, to me, is china etc. Middle eastern.. India etc.

    No, Middle East = Israel, Iran, Iraq etc.

    Asia technically includes both the Indian subcontinent (India, Pakistan, etc) and the Far East (China, Japan).

    I'm boring white British.
