DAY 12 - 2ND JANUARY 2017

What I'm grateful for today

The fact I've been (mostly) left to my own devices, meaning I've been able to have quality 'me' time

A random act of kindness I've done

Dyed my mum's hair :yep:

A random act of kindness someone has done for me

Um... not sure anyone's done anything tbh

Things I did well

Read some more of my friend's book and ordered a book I need off Amazon Prime

Something I could improve on

Reading faster :getmecoat:

What I've achieved today

Read some of my friend's book, meaning I'm closer to being able to write a review about it

What I've done to look after my mental health

Nothing much tbh

Something I have to look forward to

Sleeping. My mum chucked me out of bed way too early for my liking :emo:

DAY 13 - 3RD JANUARY 2017

What I'm grateful for today

I'm going out soon to have a snack and some quality time with my older sister (she heads back to the US on Thurs :cry2: ) in a bit :yep:

A random act of kindness I've done

Um not sure I've done anything... :erm:

A random act of kindness someone has done for me

My mum and dad let me nap rather than waking me up

Things I did well

I've read some more of my friend's book! Just 100 or less pages to go now :woo:

Something I could improve on

Still need to learn to read faster :getmecoat:

What I've achieved today

Taking some time out for myself, and letting myself relax a bit. Also am now up-to-date with my therapy homework :smug:

What I've done to look after my mental health

Had a nap and hidden in my room doing things I enjoy

Something I have to look forward to

Snacking with my sister

No worries! I figured sometimes it's good to hear from someone much older (and thus notionally wiser, lol) :shakecane:

And thanks, was really nice to spend time with my sister

Tbh forgot you did music in Oxford. There were some music applicants earlier on in the thread asking questions, perhaps I could've tagged you

Yep the post was good we do need a reminder that it's not the end of the world sometimes :yep:

Glad you had fun :yep:

DAY 14 - 4TH JANUARY 2017

What I'm grateful for today

Having quality 'me' time for most of the day. Also, we're going out for a cheeky Nando's tonight :ahee:

A random act of kindness I've done

Apparently I made starfab smile

A random act of kindness someone has done for me

My dad didn't annoy me too much today

Things I did well

Finished reading my friend's book and wrote some reviews on some websites (as per his request)

Something I could improve on

Doing uni work

What I've achieved today

Read my friend's book and did my therapy homework (well, most of it)

What I've done to look after my mental health

Lay down in bed for a while when my body got tired

Something I have to look forward to

Cheeky Nando's :coma:

Aww this sounds lovely! :cube:
You are one cheeky Goatherd :mmm:
If you want some motivation, I did 224 marks worth of chemistry questions in 2 hours + 2 hours of revision over 2 days and I've just finished and it feels so good.
Just shows that all that stressing out was silly - but it made me get it done and now I am chilling
You can do it :rave: Uni work is go :ahee:

TBH I have mixed genes. I seemed to be ok at French (used to be ok at German) and Eng lang from my Mum but also ok with STEM stuff which I get from Dad. I feel I'm not really AMAZING in either though. So when I picked my options I chose the ones I enjoyed/found more interesting which lead me onto the STEM route. Weird really

I know, right? Nando's FTW :woo: :nutcase: :smug:

Yes, my friend is a philosophy academic and he's just released a book which went on sale in the States yesterday (delayed release for the UK, only goes on sale on the 26th here but we can pre-order via Amazon!). It's called Jesus Among Secular Gods. My friend sent me a proof copy of it and asked me to read it pre-release and write reviews about it on various websites soon after it came out. Finally finished it today!
