What I'm grateful for today

Had another chilled rest day :h:

Typed out my mum's reports for her coz it would take her forever to do (she's slow and gets confused by computer stuff :nothing: )

My mum let me have a pyjama day without having a go at me :king1:

Nothing but that's OK coz it's #lazyday :yeah:

Poss should have got dressed today :ninja:

Nothing but that's OK coz still resting post-uni exam :redface:

Hopefully finally getting something sorted in time for Fathers' Day. My sister's left it spectacularly late to organise a meal :colonhash:

What I'm grateful for today

We had a Fathers' Day meal as a family and didn't end up rowing :headfire:


A random act of kindness I've done

Typed out more reports for my mum and wished my dad a happy FD

My sister stood up for me when my dad started going on about how one day I might be able to drive :lol: :nope: :facepalm:

Managing family meal

Being less nervous about new job


What I've achieved today

Surviving family meal :tongue:


What I've done to look after my mental health

Taken today fairly easy and had an extra-long shower to help calm me down :redface:

Meeting all my new work colleagues tomorrow :eek:

What I'm grateful for today

That I was on time for work despite getting up half an hour after I intended to :colondollar: Also that first day of new job went smoothly :redface:

Tried a different journey to work today - glad it went OK and I was still early for work :biggrin:

I helped my boss with a menial task, even though she said I didn't have to :yes:

People were still very welcoming on my second day in the job :h:

Managing my second day at work :king1: Doubts and voices tried to creep in, but I think I managed it OK :redface:

Actually getting out of bed and staying out of bed when my alarm goes off :lol:

Nothing much but didn't have to do anything today, so that's OK :h:

Am still waking up in the middle of the night. Maybe it's the heat but it would be good to sleep straight through :redface:

Getting through my first week at work today :king1:

Helped my mum with stuff again :yep:

My mum realised I'd be hungry when I got home from work so made dinner early :gah:


Things I did well

I slept really badly but didn't yawn at work at all today (unlike Tuesday :teehee: )

Sleeping needs to be sorted out. Might knock myself out with some sleeping pills tonight :yep:


What I've achieved today

Got through first week of work :king1:


What I've done to look after my mental health

Tried to engage in self-care and pace myself. Had to do a bit of safeguarding training today, which is always disturbing and upsetting :frown:

Was grateful to be able to see a friend who now lives on the west coast of Canada! Can't remember when I last saw her. Was nice to catch up :moon:

Grateful for the chance to rest today. Feeling very exhausted so it's much needed :colondollar:

Didn't take sleeping pills last night and woke up several times in the night :frown:

Nothing but tiz a rest day so that's fine :biggrin: Though yesterday I re-did my thesis plan and sent it to my supervisor but I forgot to write that yesterday, so I'll put it under today :tongue:

Grateful that today has been fairly laidback with plenty of downtime :redface:

Went to our parish church BBQ with my mum, to keep her company (I didn't wanna go :tongue: ) :yes:

My mum paid for my BBQ ticket :biggrin:

Still having sleeping issues :frown:
