i am in my second year studying linguistics at a small university in london. I dont mind linguistics I just applied for a subject that fit my a levels and seemed interesting, but i have found that i really dont like the university - its not all on one campus and because i live at home i basically only go to classes and theres no social side? i know i've left it late but do you think I should transfer to another uni to keep studying linguistics (i know i would have to speak to my uni, email other unis, write a personal statement and get a reference all before the jan 15th deadline) or should i apply through ucas to start a new degree, I've been thinking maybe sociology (since the sociolinguistic modules i take now are my favourites anyway)?

another thing - if i transfer into the second year of another uni to keep studying linguistics how can i arrange for somewhere to live? i know a lot of universities dont offer places in halls to second year students
