Has anyone read "Advanced Level Chinese: A Complete Tutorial" by Justin Wu? How have people found it? Is it effective for A-level Chinese?

Hmm I was going to buy that book (the cover looks cool) but it's the simplified (!) version, they should publish a traditional character version too, I mean it's not difficult to convert simplified (!) text to traditional, I mean you can do it on Google!

I might buy this one because it's the only A-Level Chinese, traditional script, that I can find...I think my Chinese school won't offer A-Level classes anymore because all the kids were in my class that did GCSE don't care anymore so they've stopped learning Chinese so even if there were a class there wouldn't be enough people

By the way, are you Chinese...did you do GCSE Chinese?

I am an overseas half-Chinese, Mandarin-speaking (mother from the Mainland). I did do GCSE [3-skills] Chinese (Simplified...) with my school: I was never enrolled onto Chinese school. And I did the AS and got a B...not bad considering I was cramming as many characters as I could over the lunchtime before my exam. But I really want an A...and I want to try the A2 (I used to be daunted by thinking and writing a whole essay...but now the "Research-based essay" sound quite fun!).
I've heard about that A-level textbook...but I thought it might be rather outdated.
