New dentist at uni

I've heard that students are being told to stay with the dentist they use at home when going to uni.

However, I really don't want to see the same dentist as my family anymore for personal reasons, does anyone know if it is possible to get a dentist in your university city? thanks

It'd depend what city you're in. Transferring dentists is as easy as transferring to a different GP.
I'd love to, but unluckily there are no NHS dentists in Preston and I can't afford to go private, so check what dentists are available and a transfer should be fine.

NHS dentists are fairly rare across the country, so it's far from as easy as transferring to a new GP, unless you don't care or aren't already seeing an NHS dentist.

Apparently its a total nightmare trying to switch NHS dentists, stay put like I have is the best policy. (Have a check up in 9 hours wahoo)

I am trying to transfer NHS dentists at the moment and I have to have an interview and examination before the new dentist will decide whether or not to accept me! :eek:
