Incidentally I don't think the Lord of the Flies was all that: ok it showed how after even a few weeks isolated from society, mankind will devolve into animals, but there were no tits in it, unless you count piggy.
My English teacher once said next week we'll be reading Lord of the Rings, turned out she meant Lord of the Flies, you would not believe how many people were disappointed by that.
I think it's a legal requirement that in English lit, you only teach books that will bore your pupils senseless.
I didn't mind The Long and the Short and the Tall though.
