I think you could get into some good unis with that. Sure not amazing grades overall, but you got an A in maths which is the important one. I think it's possible you could have a shot at Bristol if you can impress them with your personal statement.

what do you think you could get at A2? Like Psyk says, Maths is the important one, so you could have a look at some top Unis with those grades especially if you pulled one or both of your other grades up to a B. I would think about York (but I'm biased), Southampton, Bristol, Ediburgh, etc, etc.
QUB  Move to Northern Ireland

I disagree. He could get predicted ABB and get accepted at better unis. Even if he doesn't make it the unis above will most probably have places in clearing so nothing will be lost.

Well he might not be able to meet his predicted grades, as A2 is generally a lot harder than AS, unless of course he did no revision whatsoever in AS.
Do you want to stay in London or move out?

Thanks for all your replies.
I must admint I was a bit carried away with Maths and neglected the other 2 subjects, especially ICT. I will be retaking 2 papers in both Biology and ICT this coming January.

Although Bristol is an amazing university, I have to be realistic.. AAB.. hmm.. not to sure about that. =/

After some careful thought i've come up with a list, potentially my 5 uni's, please tell me what you think. Should i keep?

Southampton - ABB
Surrey - BBB
Royal Holloway - ABC/BBB
Reading - BBB
Aston - BBB-BCC

If you want to get a job apply to UCL KCL Bath and Soton. Your backup choice could be any one of these aweful uni's for computer science: qmul, city, brunel, middlesex, uel etc.

My offer from Bristol was equivalent to ABB. And Southampton didn't even give me an offer, so don't count Bristol out.

In as I got BBDD (maths, physics, chemistry, biology), I asked a lecturer who had worked at aberystwith, york and is now lecturing at newcastle if he could help me choose 6 uni's.

This is the list;

Newcastle BCC
Aberdeen CCC
Aberythwith 280 points
Edinburgh BBB
Lancaster ABB
Nottingham BBB

I took newcastle as firm and aberdeen as insuarance. I got in A2 BBB so Im off to newcastle.

You really should check out which are the theoretical courses, places like st andrews were all maths and Iv already had enough of statistics..

also what area would you like to specialise in, I would like to specialise later in graphics, in ray tracing and virtiual reality which newcastle has a suite for.

I think you need to do a bit more research on the courses and also what the city is like..

after some more research and thinking..

Southampton
King's College
Surrey
Birmingham

now for my 5th choice i must decide whether to choose Brunel or Queen Mary, as their requirement are low. any ideas which to choose?
Reply 18
er maybe you should make your own choice by looking at their courses or their ranking? ok this post isnt helpful:P
Reply 19
they're both generally around the same ranking, so not much difference there.
i've heard the social life at brunel is better than QM, but QM is still with UoL, so thats worth something =S
