What is the best option for international students in terms of applying to a college? Is it best to go open application, or to pick a place that I think sounds "cool" (this is the only factor I can base my decision on!)? I know that for Oxbridge it's best to go open-application for international students, but since there is the different system of admissions in Durham, I'm not really sure which route to take!

Any advice would be appreciated Thanks

Read the FAQ. Choose a college you like if you have a preference, or make an open application, it is up to you. It has no bearing on your likelyhood of getting in.

It doesn't matter. They allocate internationals everywhere. Just choose whichever one you like best.
