French and Philosophy at UCL

hi everyone im new to the student room and hope im writing in the right forum, but anyway i would really appreciate some help concerning an undergraduate application this year to do French and Philosophy at UCL.

According to the prospectus and internet site the requirement is AAB including French but it does not specify what subject that B grade could be in.

Is there a minimum requirement grade for French?
Is it still worth applying if the grade B was in French (while the other 2 were As)?

Ok then, thanks for the info.

Ive just finished school at I got As in Chemistry and English but a B (1 mark off an A - getting a remark) for French - is it still worth trying for UCL do you think? though I would obviously be at more of a disadvantage than someone with an A in French
