Triple gives you three GCSEs, combined only gives you two

Hiya,

Triple will take up another one of your options but tbh it feels like a natural progression from additional science (not that much harder) and you'll be revising for science anyway. Do you enjoy science now?

I take triple and it's not that bad at all, and it gives you more GCSE's.
If you're capable of doing an extra unit for each, definitely go for it.

I did Double Science and got A*s for both core and additional. There's a few people in my chemistry (resitters) who did Triple Science and they got Bs so it depends if you want to pursue a career in science/study science at A-level. If you do, I'd say do triple because the knowledge really helps in making the gap between GCSE and A-Levels a bit smaller but just keep in mind that A*s look better than Bs when applying for University.

If you like science, take triple. If you don't, double will be just fine. People who say triple science is really hard just don't bother. The triple science unit in Chemistry for AQA is really nice. It's just some analytical chemsitry (flame tests etc.) and some periodic table history. It's really not that hard if you work at it.

Trpile gives you one more GCSE than double. Triple is harder than double. If your good at science then take triple.

If you want to do A level, Triple.
If you don't, Double.
If you are doing like 6 or 7 gcses total, Triple, so you can boost it up to 8.
If you are doing like 10 or 11, and don't care about science, Double.

It all depends how interested in science you are. Triple science was cumpolsory for set 1 students at my high school and I had to take it. If I had the choice, I'm not sure I would have taken it. I came out with AAA, which was really good - but given I have no interest in science, it may have been a bit less stressful to take it. But, I have an extra GCSE, and it all turned out okay in the end. Triple science isn't harder, the last topic of each science (OCR anyway) only gets hard in physics because is more applied maths and not everyone takes to that well. But overall it wasn't harder - infact I found some of the additional science topics harder than my triple ones. It's just the workload. If you love science and you think it'd be a good choice for you, it'll be fine. That being said, now I'm doing a levels the work load comparatively is actually not too bad if you manage it well.

It depends on you, not us. You should choose whatever is best for you.
