My uncle told me this a few days ago, I didn't believe him but it's true.

If it were girls then that would be a whole different story.

No it's only boys, that would be ducking creepy if they made girls do that though. But still, it's weird how this used to be normal

That means strange things are able to happen to boys more frequently. Oh crap.....

Meh I mean. I don't see anything wrong with it, plenty of guys go around shirtless nowadays and many do at sporting events so I don't see why it would be that uncommon in PE

My dad said that in the early 80s, at primary school it was reasonably common for boys to do PE shirtless, also to do it in underwear if you didn't have PE kit.

I don't see how it's a big deal? I mean, don't you do shirts vs skins? It's basically the same thing but everyone's shirtless instead of just a few

This is what I was going to say. Instead of using bibs, at my school we used to do shirts vs skins.

We used to do that in my school whenever we had a supply teacher and played basketball  It really isn't as bad as you're making it out to be really. I personally found it to be more comfortable (especially when its really hot indoors).

Didn't know this still happened. Can you choose to opt out though and wear a shirt? In my uncle's days, you absolutely had to be shirtless for it.

In my first school (so ages 5-9) if you didn't have your pe kit you would have to do it in your 'knickers and vest', no matter if you were a girl or a boy. We also didn't have changing rooms, everyone got changed in the main classroom together.
