What kind of things do you study in history / philosophy / psychology? Would only do SL and my other subjects would be English SL, French SL, Maths HL, Biology and chemistry HL. Can I do history even though I'm not taking it for gcse? Thanksss

Hi, I am an current IB Second Year student who is taking HL Chem, Bio, English Lit, SL Maths, Mandarin B and Psychology (finished SL Psychology last year). Quite honestly, doing History SL without a GCSE could be quite tough. In SL Psychology you learn about the Biological, Cognitive and Sociocultural components of Psychology. There's is quite a lot of memorizing studies involved in SL Psych so if you do not like memorization you may want to reconsider about taking this class. For the Biological Level of Analysis there is some overlap with HL Biology because of the Nervous System and Brain Anatomy portions.

History is probably considered the hardest of the three (in my opinion he most interesting) . Philosophy is usually regarded as easier, yet so fascinating, normally id recommend history, but with your HL if you're considering medicine psychology would be a good choice. Ultimately though, do what you'd enjoy

I do philosophy HL and psychology HL. I suppose it depends on what you're wanting to do later? Your subjects seem quite science based so if thats what you enjoy then I'd say psychology.
