Hey,

Long story short, I have had my car insurance (with a black box) cancelled for apparently 'speeding'.

I am 17 and I have literally checked all insurance companies that insure young drivers but after declaring I have had my insurance cancelled they cannot offer me NO insurance at all.

Do I HAVE to declare that I have had my insurance cancelled, how will they find out anyways???

Can I do anything about this????

Thanks for your time.

Well how fast were you going and what was the limit?

Yes you have to declare it, insurers have access to a big database which lists this kind of thing...Also if you were to have an accident then it would all come out then and your insurer could (and will) refuse to pay out

Check comparison websites, someone will insure you you'll just have to pay a major premium for it...and in future pay the excess to avoid a black box...or follow the rules they set you.

40 on a 20 road but I really don't know how I could have done 40 on that road. No comparison website gives me a quote :/

You may need to try a specialist broker instead, and be prepared for very high premiums...

Yes, you legally have to declare it. Insurance companies share information about claims and cancellations, so there's no avoiding it.

Your best chance is to have a look over the terms of your insurance and speak to them again. They should have given you some sort of warning when you're driving poorly, most black box policies do.
