Interesting offer back from a University. Anyone have any experience with this? watch

    Here is the exact wording of the offer letter: "This offer is subject to you obtaining 120 UCAS Tariff points from your BTEC Subsidiary Diploma and two A-levels one of which must be an A-level grade B equivalent in Biology with a Pass in Science Practical The University will update this offer to Unconditional should you decide to firmly accept it"

    The only way I can interpret this is: "If you make us your first choice this offer is unconditional"

    Is this correct? I can't really see how else this could be read as. I have emailed them but the office is closed until tomorrow. The 3 people I asked all think that this what the offer means but none of them had heard of this being done.

    Yes - not uncommon, and it's more in their interests than yours.

    Don't rush to a decision, and ignore the "unconditional" aspect from your decision making.
