one of the first questions they'll ask, is how many days off you've had in the last year. I said 5-6, thinking that was pretty damn good for a whole year...and they literally, after 1 question, told me that wasnt good enough, and i wasnt right for the job! so make sure you say less than days than that (even if your lying  )

I assume you filled in an online application with some pretty darn obscure questions? They asked me about some of them, eg I answered on the form for 'a time you had achieved something' as having my first driving lesson, and he asked me how I prepared for it. Imo, their phone interviews are a bit ****, as I could hear him typing my answers down, and once the questions had finished I was put on hold for a minute and they came back on and said I wasn't going to be asked for an interview based on my answers and nervousness. I can only assume the computer told him what to say, but they tell you where you went wrong, which is helpful.

I didn't get anything at all about days off :s-smilie:

I've applied online so lets see if they get back to me! how long do they take to get back to you?

Well luckily the job I applied for I was just inside the deadline (on the day of it). They sent me an e-mail the next day saying i'd be progressed to the next stage and that they'll call me to arrange a phone interview. Still waiting for that call.

Yeh there were quite a few questions, although they were a bit nicer ones then some i've had to answer before but still a pain. I think I'll have to have a good look over my application again before the interview. Also any chance of letting me know of the advice they gave you at the end of your call?:s-smilie:

I applied online not last Saturday, Saturday before, they then contacted me on Tuesday for a phone interview, basically the questions are exactly what you answered on the online application, so try and get a copy of it to avoid the classic "umin" and "arrin" technique. I was reasonably confident, answered them quite sufficiently though i have little retail experience, he told me he would contact me if i was successful. I then had a phone call later that day and he said i was successful and would like to invite me to a formal interview, it was sooo nerve racking, and the questions were quite ridiculous, just make sure, if you make it that far, to revise interview technique! I'm yet to hear from them, should be contacted tomorrow I assume. Best of luck.

^Good luck to you too!

Hello Kayz, did they not ask you, when they called the first time whether you wanted to arrange a date/time? Also did they really not ask you any other questions, thats pretty weird?

Hope you're interview went well, if you could give any pointers on that as well it would be great!

Nope they rung my mobile aswell, which took me by surprise lol. He just said is it suitable to have an interview now and i said yes, basically it was in the same context as the questions you answered on the application, plus a few like what do you know about 02 and how would you give a customer a WOW experience. Basically if your succesful, go in confident and brush up on your skills about the company, suck up, and even if you don't know what your talking about make it sound reasonably good! Just keep saying you like working in a team, they like that. Also you might like to know if offered a job you have to go on a 4 day training course in any location throughout the UK.

any idea what questions they ask?

Guys I have passed my telephone interview and it lasted about 45 mins and asked me almost 25-30 questions. My personal advice to everyone that tell 'em about sales related experience or retail related...that would be very very good for you.
