    Hi guys,

I am currently out of education due to a job that i was offered for a year, i am currently 18 years old so by the time the school year starts i will be ineligible for a free degree course from college.

I have currently achieved a MMP grade on a Extended BTEC Diploma giving me a total of 80 ucas points, however the course that i am hoping to apply for has a 96 ucas point requirements.

Iv been looking into ways to get around this and saw a one year course that i can apply for in Art and Design, however i'm unsure if this would give me the grades to apply for the course that i want to do in a years time? As i am hoping to do games development and this is an Art and Design course?http://search.ucas.com/course/summar...rsedetailsmenu

try applying to Derby university, ask for Carlton Macdonald (computer science senior lecturer) and tell them i sent you.

You should get a place with those grades, seriously!

you can use this webpage for more information, but i think you will be best to decide on a degree, and make a phone call in the morning, to find out yourself. You may well find that they are prepared to lower the entrance requirements for the degree of your choice, if you make a favourable impression, but then you may not.

it really is too early to say
