Applicant days: Should I bother? watch

    So I already know where I'll be going this year when I go uni, I've already firmed an unconditional offer at my first choice university. In September I went to an open day, had a look round and all that so is it worth my while going to an applicant day as well or are they basically the same as open days that are put on for people who have applied but still yet to make up their mind?

    Have a look at the schedule for the applicant day - it may include things you didn't get to do last time, and may be more course specific. Sometimes, the uni even puts on sample lectures. It can sometimes be a good idea to visit in a different season, as things like a walk between buildings can be really nice in summer but horrible in winter, or you might find that people study outside more in summer and then in winter there's no space in the library.

    But it's not necessary to go.

    Since you already know you'll be going there you have no reason to go to the offer-holder event, unless you would like to learn a bit more about the university before you begin.
