On Gamespot they sometimes talk about the framerate on Xbox 360 games, how do they get this info?

tbh if you play a lot of games you can tell the difference between 30 and 60fps. also i'm sure if the developers can get the game running at a constant 60fps they will boast about it..

I remember Double Agent's fps being as low as the single digits, especially on the Prison Level, even in 480p

Maybe they have a special version of fraps they can use to read console frame rates?

lol fraps is a windows program made by a non-microsoft company... as for the answer to the question... the developers must have some kind of console which brings up the fps... and as for the reviewers... they would have been playing games a long time and its easy to tell if a game is getting bad framerates.

Metroid Prime on the Gamecube ran at 60fps but The Wind Waker only ran at 30fps (and slowed down considerably when a lot was happening on screen).
