Liberal Israel, which respects humans rights etc also allegedly (highly likely) cooperated with South Africa in the 70s-80s in producing nuclear weapons. Not really something a liberal secular democracy should be taking part in ey? But perhaps we are being too harsh?
Since much of Africa was ruled by crazed communist dictatorships which hated Israel and supported the Palestinian terrorists, Israel had to get friends wherever it could find them. Its partnership with apartheid South Africa was justified from a realpolitik point of view. In WWII we allied with the Soviet Union to beat Nazism. What point are you trying to make?

And as bad as apartheid South Africa was, it's even worse now. Same with Zimbabwe, which was a paradise when it was Rhodesia.

Indeed, Israel's military support for Argentina even at the height of the Falklands War is pretty well-documented.

    Unfortunate.

But this one sordid incident should not be used to slander Israel as an illiberal country.

You get people like that all the time in the West. Look at America and the Bible-bashing nutters who hold anti-gay protests. Heard of Westboro Baptist Church?

You get intolerant nutters in every society. Taking one picture of an anti-gay protest in Israel by religious nutjobs, without any context, and using that to paint Israel as homophobic is very pathetic on your part.

At least Israel doesn't kill gays, unlike Iran.

    > at least 4 major vigilante attacks on gays in Israel since 2005, killing several gay individuals and wounding dozens
    > "at least Israel doesn't kill gays"

I love how every comment you make is like, Mugabe is a fascist, Iran kills gays, Gaza throws gays off buildings, shows the depths you have to sink to try and defend Israel.

But at least we can agree that Israel belongs in that company.

Do you have any evidence of the Israeli government killing gays? Probably not.

Seems to me like the attacks you describe are hate crimes carried out by individuals, not encouraged by the government. It really is laughable to see you clutching at straws in your desperate attempt to defame Israel.

No "clutching" needed, every single country in the world agrees that Israel is a pariah state that acts in breach of international law on a daily basis.

    "International law"

Rofl, if Israel defending itself from hardened criminals and terrorists means that it has to breach so-called international law, then I support Israel doing so.

Funny how you linked to Israeli news articles, and not, say, Iranian or Saudi ones. Maybe because Israel has a free press unlike its enemies?

Assad is not secular. He is being assisted by Iranian Shiite jihadists in killing thousands of Sunnis to prop up his Alawite-dominated apartheid system.

The article has been wrote by a Zionist.
Lol, because he's called Cohen? You're a racist idiot. Israel is hardly mentioned in that article.
